This is where you can discuss what happened in CoHF, including spoilers! I haven't read it yet so I won't be looking at this topic for a while! But I can't wait to read it! What do you think of the book?
My weekend is all booked!

I loved this series and I think COHF is a great ending to the series. Each book left me wanting more and I was so excited to get COHF. I think each characters story came to a right conclusion. Not all endings were perfect, but they were just enough to satisfy the reader. I also liked the introduction of the new characters and a glance into the authors new series. If you want to be finished with the lives of these characters, this book brings it all to a pleasant ending. It is an ending where you can walk away and say "all is right int the Mortal Instrument World." Or, maybe you want more.....well, the author gives you that too!

This is one of my FAVORITE series. She is truly amazing. The way the whole thing ended was great. The 721 pages kept me on my toes the whole time and I think I finished it in two days. A little confusing at first because I couldn't remember everything that happened, but then it all picked right back up. An amazing story from beginning to end.

I'm not the only one that cried at the end, right? I mean, firstly, waiting between these books took a lot out of me. And now this awesome series is over. It's bittersweet. I know she's doing another spin off which will probably be awesome (loved clockwork too), but it won't be the same! She does amazing dialogue. She gives so much to the characters by creating that voice for them. Love it. Love her.

I don't know... it definitely wasn't my favorite book out of the series. I loved City of Lost Souls, and had HUGE expectations for Heavenly Fire, but it just wasn't up to par.

I was really worried that I'd have character withdrawal, but honestly, Cassandra Clare was setting up her characters for her next series so much that I felt detached from the main characters of TMI.

I loved this series. I was sad, but glad to see the series come to an end. From the beginning I was captivated by Clary and Jace. As the books went on I just wanted them to be together and be happy but it felt like that would never end. COHF was the perfect ending. COHF almost seemed like she was reading for a great ending but kind of failed to get there. I loved how Clary and Jace worked through all their issues of touching or kissing or any contact at all. It was also so awesome that Alex and Magnus were finally back together realizing their issues. I was literally crying when I read about Simon, but things turned around and there is always a loop hole! All in all, I think she did this in part to lead on to another book, possibly another series or spin off. It was well written and I am sad to see it end, but it was time. Enjoy!

I think that the ending for this series is quite good. I mean its not often we have the part where most of all the main characters live and maybe will be spending a good time with each other. Yet I was kinda surprised by Cassandra when she added characters from TID which was nice and since I've already read both of the series I felt some attachment to all the characters from both the series and was very heart-warming to find that the characters of TID still partially intact. Anyway its really a good ending to the series.

God, it was such a big disappointment. Do the characters seem believable? No. Does it end well? No. Does clary suffer? (not that I enjoy characters suffering but clary doesn't suffer any big loss or anything. So what jordon died? So what Raphael died? No one cares!) ok, so now I sound like the stroppy teenager that I am, but still.

I loved this book. It's by far my favourite in the series. I thought there was a bit too much time spent on her new characters, who to be fair I don't really like that much, but we will have to see how the new series goes. I'm definitely looking forward to it. But other than that it was a fantastic ending, though I wish she'd write more with those characters. I'd like to know more about what the shadowhunters of the New York institute get up to, when the whole of the shadowhunter race isn't under threat. I mean, I know there are always demons to deal with, but the fate of the whole world isn't usually at risk. I'd also like to know what life is like for clary and Jace when they are not under totally unrealistic circumstances. I liked the Clary and Jace ending though there storyline was a bit too graphic in places for my liking. I also liked the heavenly fire storyline, because it made them talk to each other more, rather than avoid each other like they do in most of the other books. I know some people think Clary didn't go through as much as other female protagonists, but in many ways her struggles were more psychological, her brother was contaminated by demon blood, her mother was kidnapped, her best friend was taken away from her and she had to help Jace who was trying to control the fire within him and fight of the evil effects of being brought up by an evil psychopath. She had to deal with all this, as well as saving humanity. A lot of people in general, when talking about Jace, either comment on how they imagine he would be good looking or on how much of a bad boy rebellious reputation he has. As much as I like that he's so sassy, what I find most intriguing about him is the seriousness and vulnerability hidden behind the humour. I can't say I was bothered about Simon, but then I never really liked him. I was sort of disappointed when Jace saved him in City Of Ashes. And I never liked Alec and Magnus either. Well, I did think Magnus was a cool funny character, but I wasn't invested in there relationship. I liked the werewolf storylines, but we never really get a satisfactory ending as far as they are concerned I don't think. But overall, a great finale to a great series.

I absolutely loved CoHF! The Mortal Instruments is one of the best series I've read, and I thought the ending was perfect. The parts with Jem and Tessa were amazing. I can't wait to read The Dark Artifices.
