The last classic book I bought was Wuthering Heights. It stands on my bookshelf ready to be read. I visited the south of England last month which contained a lot of Jane Austen places. I even visited her home in Chawton. This of course, made me re-read some parts of her books, although I still haven't read them all. A lot of books to read in the next couple of months.

I did however just finish reading "A Farewell to Arms" and "The Lord of the Flies". Interesting books, although not one of my favorites.

I just finished Morgenstern's The Princess Bride. Brilliant Satire! I have read The Scarlett Letter forty times. Cannot get enough of it.

I re-read Jane Eyre recently, just for the hell of it. It was just as fresh now as it was when I first read it 40 years ago for part of my English Literature course at school!

The last classic book I read was one containing the complete collection of Edgar Allan Poe's short stories and poems. It is a fairly big book, but I really enjoyed having a couple of short stories or poems to read every evening.

I read Kate Chopin's The Awakening last month. I admit, it gave me a hard time reading words out of it. hehe i don't know. I also read Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth just last week, one of the greatest reads i've had ever.

I just finished Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (is that how you spell it?) yesterday. Read The Princess Bride a few months ago, too.

Actually I AM READING one. Go Tell It On The Mountain by James Baldwin. I first learned about the book in college and wanted to read it. Some years passed....but I kept my own promise. So far so good.

Haha why "sad"?? :) You know you've actually read it. Classics are the books people only know of, but hardly ever try.

I love Dostoevsky! His dry humor is entertaining. I hope you enjoy notes from underground, it was short but good in my estimation ((: im an introvert though so its fairly easy to sympathize with the main character
