This was the first book that I read by this author. When I first started to read this it was slow. It is a book that you need to read a couple chapters for it to really get good. If you give it a chance however, you will realize that it's worth it. I ended up loving this book and the story is so touching. You end up feeling for the human and animal characters in the book. It is such a good read.
