Usually 2-3 of a different genre, sometimes I'm in the middle of one, the beginning or end of another...very stimulating.

More often than not I read 2-3 books at one given time, plus one for school. I have a very short attention span so sometimes I find it hard to concentrate on just one book or I might become bored of it.

I typically read multiple books at once. However, once I get into the middle of one, I will stop reading anything else until I have finished it.

I've tried once or twice to read multiple books, but eventually I get so caught up in one that I forget I'm reading the rest. Then when I'm done with the first one, I've forgotten about everything I've read in the others, so I have to start over.

When I read paper books I had one book I called my bathroom book although I sometimes read in other rooms and another book that went with me wherever I went, except the bathroom. Often, the outside book was non-fiction and related to my work while the bathroom book was fiction and for pleasure.

Now, I read with an e-reader. I still have a bathroom e-reader and an outside e-reader but it's convenient and cost-effective to have the same books on both. I'm also chronically unemployed now so I don't feel compelled to read non-fiction books for my work.

So, the answer to the question si, now I tend to read one book at a time. I should also say that since most of the books I'm reading now were free or cost $1, I'm much, much quicker about tossing a bad book.

Usually 2-3. One for work, one for a book club and one for pleasure.

I used to read only one at a time, but recently, I've been reading 3 at once.
One for this site to review, one "long" book, and one "short" book (for light reading, so I don't feel bogged down with the long book)

Currently three, I usually have a couple books going. I'll read some of a shorter book just to lighten up after I've read a long book. Or I switch back and forth to help me when I'm slogging through the slow parts of a book.

I am currently reading four books, but this is the most I will read at a time. My problem is that I get new books while I am still reading another, and I think I have to immediately start the new one.

I don't usually read more than one book at a time, but I do sometimes, just because I need to have a break from the one... I have read 3 to 4 books at the same time once. I quite enjoyed it!

Still going strong with three at once! Almost done with one and might take a break from picking up another one after that.

I often will read 2 books at a time. I will alternate my book club's selection with whatever book I am reading of my own choosing.

I have issues with reading multiple books at once. I've tried it before but I end up not finishing any of them.
