Right now I'm reading Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry.
It's an "old western" novel that takes places in my beloved Texas

It was kind of dragging for me in the beginning but now it's picking up.

I liked the first book, but the writing gets a bit sloppy in the second book (it wasn't so great in the first book, but tolerable). Whoever he is he has intriguing ideas.
I will say that the subject matter is compelling and very scary. It could be true and it could becoming true. Has anyone read any of these stories? I would be interested in what others might think.
I would recommend these books just for a "watch out", and it is a fun read.
