Top Picture Book

It isn't very often that you come across a picture book and say WOW that was a great read. Well I did after friend of mine handed me The Three Wise Men by Australian author Roy Skillen.

The Three Wise men has everything that a normal picture book has. It is beautifully illustrated and ends with a nice life lesson. But I found that it is also very funny and has some great gross bits that have led some to compare it with Roald Dahl's Revolting Ryhmes. But whether it warrants such high praise I am not sure but one thing is for certain Skillen has created what could end up being something of an underground classic and I will definately keep an eye out for more of his work.

I once read The Bible Story by Arthur Maxwell. It's also a picture book that talks about the bible. I love it . :)
