Oh boy, there's a lot of authors I really enjoy reading.
The ones I seem to come back to the most though are: Dean Koontz, Clive Cussler, Michael Connelly, and Jedediah Berry because I keep re-reading his book 'The Manual of Detection.' I know they're not the authors of any classics or anything, but I do own a lot of books by them.

I'd have to say Kim Harrison, Anne Rice, Jonathan Kellerman, Michael Critchton, Terry Pratchett, and Steven King come to mind; there are more.
But I so Love Kim Harrison.

I think all authors are good in their own way, there are no "bad" ones, per say.

I don't have a favorite author but I do keep an eye on Robert McCammon; anyone who can produce magic like, "Boy's Life" is up there. I also love Douglas Adams.

I have a hard time choosing one author, and I find it depends on my phase of life. Octavia Butler has made it through all the phases though!

My mom got me into reading Danielle Steel, so she's my favorite author at the moment.
