When I was about 12 or 13 I couldn't get enough of the R.L. Stine Fear Street books! I still have most of them now, I purchased them through the schools Scholastic book club and couldn't wait to get the next one every month!

40 years ago I discovered John D MacDonald. I collected every book he ever wrote except for one book of short stories that he wrote that I just could not locate. I just loved his Travis McGee series. I had just over 60 books at one time.

Garth Nix and William Nicholson were I guess the first writers to spike my interest to the point that I HAD to read everything. When I was about 13 I think.
I want to stand as close to the edge as I can without going over.
Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

When I was a kid, I had to read everything by Beaverly Clearly and Barbara Park. Those were my favorite! Now, I'm absolutely in love with John Green's books. I know it might seem totally cliche since his book The Fault in Our Stars became so popular, but my favorite book by him is Looking for Alaska, hands down. He just understands teenagers and the issues we deal with. Green just gets life and he deals with the nitty gritty stuff no one else wants to talk about. I'm also a huge fan of the Bronte sisters and Jane Austen! I get so into the classics!

I read every single Sarah Dessen book almost in a row because I loved her so much as a 7-9 grader. She wrote about the relationships that I wanted to have with friends and boyfriends and just such sweet teenage books. Some of them were a little old for me but still I think that she did an amazing job writing to her audience of young girls.

Arthur Conan-Doyle. I loved the Sherlock Holmes collection and could not get enough of them. As soon as I finished a book it was off to the next one right away.

cirque du freaks - darran shan. I believe I picked his books up in junior high, and I always tried to stay away from books with more then one part cause my luck was always I couldn't find the next book in the series.

this one has 12 books.
they made a movie and it was so good, but then they didn't make enough to make the rest of the books in to a movie like they planned.. so it sucks.

Ahhh I was such a book addict especially with series writers!!!! But usually my 'read everything' was limited to series. Sooo 'read everything by?' Lurlene McDaniel... yeah? Probably. I was probably like... 16-ish, maybe, when I read Angel of Hope anddd I HAD NO IDEA that I was reading the book out of order. Technically? But I was hooked with the writing.

George Orwell. I read 'Nineteen Eighty-four' when I was in my teens, and was so affected by it that I read all Orwell's other novels and non-fiction books, and the collections of his essays that were available at the time, in quick succession. He was my kind of socialist.
