David Icke

Post by cooltodd »

David Ickeborn is a British writer. A former professional football player, reporter, television sports presenter, and spokesman for the Green Party, he has devoted himself since 1990 to researching "who and what is really controlling the world." He is the author of 20 books explaining his views.

Icke argues that he has developed a moral and political worldview that combines New Age spiritualism with a passionate denunciation of what he sees as totalitarian trends in the modern world. His views have been described as "New Age conspiracism."

At the heart of Icke's theories is the view that the world is ruled by a secret group called the "Global Elite" or "Illuminati," which he has linked to The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, an anti-Semitic hoax. In 1999, he published The Biggest Secret, in which he wrote that the Illuminati are a race of reptilian humanoids known as the Babylonian Brotherhood, and that many prominent figures are reptilian, including George W. Bush, Queen Elizabeth II, Kris Kristofferson, and Boxcar Willie.

Some people accuse David Icke of anti-Semitism. Take this example:
David Icke wrote:I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the Second World War. This Jewish/non-Jewish Elite used the First World War to secure the Balfour Declaration and the principle of the Jewish State of Israel. They then dominated the Versailles Peace Conference and created the circumstances which made the Second World War inevitable. They financed Hitler to power in 1933 and made the funds available for his rearmament.
What do you think? I think this ex-football player got hit in the head one to many times.

I don't think he's an anti-Semite, but I don't believe his theories. I think his work belongs in the sci-fi section of the bookstore. I mean, he thinks the world is ruled by reptiles.

Didn't he once say he was the son of God on Wogan or something?

I have read a few of his books for entertianment. He also talks about "shape shifting" where alien overlords (reptiles) take on human form, live in underground caverns, and control the money supply etcetera. It is really fantasy fiction, as readertim109 says, and it is also lucrative - I think there are mnay magazines and even a TV station that explore similar themes.

Isn't that the plot of that 1980s science fiction series 'V'.

David Ickeborn ... saw him interviewed on TV once & once was enough. He's more to be pitied that laughed at but I'm sure if he keeps attending treatment he will be OK.

Did he not declare himself to be God at some stage ... but it would appear he forgot to tell God!

MrWright. not sure about V. The whole "shape shifting" thing is totally bizarre and I recall he says that they are of a royal blood line. Merovingian. There are many folks that promote this sort of thing. I enjoy esoteric subjects and Icke is an interesting writer (but you need to ignore the polemic) Book stores thesedays are full of trashy paperbacks about mad conspiracy theories and if you look on the back of most you will see no reviews (i.e they are just junk) Icke however does have good sources and you can learn some interesting facts from him. Whether he is eccentirc, or just an astute businessman is open to question.

Fran, I think he was on Wogan? That was where he said he was the son of God :D Perhaps it should be "He said" :?:
