Which games you used to play when you were a kid?

Those were good times for sure. We used to make up games. I dont think kids do that so much anymore.

We used to build clubhouses that usually fell apart in the first wind storm. We had rules to join, you had to have good comic books was one rule and no girls allowed. I think those were the only rules.

I use to have some really cool club houses. we had a junk yard next door so we used a lot of things from there. that and this huge bush that went from the end of driveway to end of my back yard was holloed out for the most part and my papa nailed boreds up in it and that was the hang out spot

Kids today are too " tethered " to their electronic devices, resulting in no room for creativity...

I think so. They dont do things now like they did when we were kids.

Tamara, did you have a no boys allowed rule for your clubhouse?

I remember making snow forts in the snow…and snowball fights, lol.

It's funny how kids from the same parents and same household can be so different. My grandson does not go outside. He is into acting and that's what he does. My granddaughter on the other hand loves to be outside. She'll go out and play in the snow, rake leaves, or grab someone to play ball with. The poor kid made a "stick" house last spring because she wanted a get away of her own outside. My husband and I bought her a tent for her birthday which she used all summer

I played Electronic games too, like Pong.

I played a lot of different games with my brother and cousins such as:
Cowboys and Robbers
Skip-Bo
Trouble

We played Cowboys and INDIANS, and hide and seek a lot...

I remember Pong games. We had one, thought it was really something.

Ooh, speaking of Pong, we really played Ping Pong a lot too. When we got the table for it, we were very popular on our block!

My friend and I made our own version of soccer we played in the middle of the street using the curb as our goals... that was pretty fun.

We used to hike in the hills a lot, sometimes walk for miles and thought nothing of it back then.

The best part about playing outside on our block was that a friend of mine had a refrigerator in his garage that his parents kept stocked with frozen glazed donuts. We had a lot of donuts in the summers!
