What faction would you have chosen at 16?

Discuss the June 2014 book of the month Divergent by Veronica Roth. While only Divergent--the first book of the series--is the book of the month, feel free to use this subforum to discuss the rest of the series or to talk about the movies, but make sure not to post spoilers unless noted in the topic title.

Erudite, as long as I didn't know about how evil some of them really were. But as the Erudite manifesto declares: "Intelligence is a gift, not a right, and it should be wielded not as a weapon but as a tool for the betterment of others." Or something along those lines.

I took the test and got more than one, the highest were Erudite and Dauntless. I would still choose dauntless though.

At sixteen I would have been Amity, but I also would have been born into it. My family values helping people and that's also the career path I've chosen (juvenile social work) so that faction would have been perfect for me.

At age sixteen - Dauntless
Today - Amity or Abnegation

I don't know what I would have been born into, but I think I would have chosen Abnegation at the choosing ceremony because I've always been a pretty selfless person and put other people's needs and happiness above my own.

Probably Candor or Amity. I value both, honesty and respect. I also try to help others as much as possible.

I think I would have been born into Candor because my family (my immediate family anyways) is extremely honest about everything, to a fault at times maybe. I would have chosen Erudite at 16 though. My thirst for education and knowledge is never ending and even at 16 I knew education and academia where my future.

The faction that I would have received on the test would have been Abnegation, but I would have chosen Amity.

Likely, Dauntless because I wanted to prove I was tough.

I would have most likely been born into Amity. At 16, though, I was very nerdy (still am) and would have probably had to make the choice between Erudite and Amity. Despite my love for learning, though, I would probably choose Amity in the end because I'm very non-confrontational and would have had a hard time leaving my family.

I think I would have been born into Abnegation. Between being selfless and serving the community, it would have suited my family and church values. As for me at 16? Well, back then I probably would have chosen Amity. Being outside, being happy and content would have been a good draw. I also didn't let a lot of things bother me so it probably would have been a good fit. I think if I would have had to choose something like that at 16, I would have been out of my mind. I didn't know anything about who I really was and though Amity would have appealed to me then, I probably would have chosen Erudite as a young adult (not knowing the real politics behind each faction of course). I found I was a lot smarter than I knew.
