Those movies have become part of culture though, i don't know about in the rest of the world but in the U.S. it has. There are references to star wars in many, many shows, books, movies, sitcoms, etc.

I personally enjoyed the movies when i was younger but i haven't seen them in years.

Have you read the Da Vinci Code or have you seen the movie? it's kind of the same thing, something so popular that if you don't see it or read it you are just kind of out of the loop.

Me either, I'm quite happy to be out of the loop. Sometimes I come back to those mega popular things later if the mood strikes me, but I don't need to watch or read something just because everybody else does, you know?

I just saw Spiderman 3. It was ok, I liked it, but I prefer Spiderman 2. Since I don't have a good budget this year, I don't go as much as I would like to the movies, but this summer I'm watching every movie I want to see. Every single one of them! *screams with her fists in the air*

My favorite movies are:

Schindler's List
Am?lie
The Godfather
Lord of the Rings
Amores Perros

And some others, but those are in the top of my list.

But I like movies in general. Ok, I love movies. Not as much as books, and I normally don't like movies made out of them, but still, love movies.

Schindler's List is an awesome movie, is it not? I think it should be compulsory viewing for all high school students.

Shindler's List is one of my all time favorite movies. i can remember when it first came out and i watched it with my parents. i was like 5 years old but they let me watch it. they covered my eyes on the really bad parts. it has been ever since then that i have had a love of learning about the Holocoust and everything about WWII.

You were 5 years old when Schindler's list came out?! How old are you?

I loved that movie, everything about it. The direction, cinematography, acting, music, everything (the violin alone made me cry every time I heard the soundtrack). I think that simply as a movie is one of the most accomplished ones in the history of movie making. And the human story behind it, the most important part of it, gosh, so powerful and deep.

The first scene that made me open my mouth in awe was when Schindler is smoking at the restaurant while looking at the Nazis there, preparing his next move. I loved the movement of the camera around him, the smoke of the cigarette, the use of light and shadow. From there on, I worshiped Spielberg and his amazing work through the rest of the movie. I liked many of his earlier movies but I never thought he would do a movie so rich and important. And Ralph Fiennes, wow, amazing. What a wonderful actor.

I don't think another movie would ever take its place as my favorite one. I still remember the sound of the train while entering Auschwitz and the crying of the women inside the chamber. And the boy at the beginning of the movie, marching in front of the Nazi soldiers, I will never forget that strong image. Hard to watch sometimes, sure, but a movie everyone should see at one point in their lives.

Last night i watched V for Vendetta and i found some of the concepts very similar to concepts found in Orwell's 1984. Halfway through the movie i realized that the Chancellor was John Hurt who plays the main character Winston Smith in the 1984 movie. I just thought it was interesting. Anyway i really really enjoyed V for Vendetta, check it out if you get the chance.

Derek, it's a great film isn't it? One that really impressed me. Hugo Weaving as V just blew me away - great acting by voice and body language alone.

John Hurt is one of those truly brilliant actors too. He can be so unlikeable!

Amen sister! I figure every movie has got some perky actress in it for the boys to enjoy the view, what's wrong with us girls simply enjoying a bit of hottie now and again?
