Do you discuss a book after reading

I would love to discuss a book after I read it but I do not really have anyone to talk about them with. I think my new roommates will give me a better chance at it though. We seem to have the same taste in books and it would be awesome to be able to have some people to discuss books with. I love talking about books, it is almost more exciting than actually reading the book. My favorite part to discuss would be the characters.

Yes! I find that it helps me understand the book more and see things that i might have missed. I used to hate review books in English class, but now I wish I had more of that.

It depends on the book, but to say the truth, I don't. Unless it's with someone I really want to discuss the books with and who has read it as well.

Not really. I don't know ANYONE that reads like I do. I just think of the book at night and the next day I read another.

After finishing the book, I feel like I have too much information stuck in my head that I need get rid of. Discussing the book helps relieve the knowledge that I have accumulated during my read of a book. Either that, or I just post a review of the book. Sometimes discussing can be frustrating because people may have different views than you.

Reading is a bit personal to me, so I don't like to discuss my books with other people. Unless, of course, I am reviewing it for this site. But in that case, I get paid to do it, so I don't mind.

I love discussing books, my only problem I'm the olny person in my small and big family that loves to read. So discussing a book isnt always optional.

It's as if I have to! I find it interesting for someone to be able to create something that draws another in through words. Even if it isn't the best, I find myself explaining the parts that I did enjoy and why I would/wouldn't recommend it.

Yes, but not with everyone. I have a few friends who enjoy reading like I do, and we sometimes discuss the books we are reading. But in general, no. I get the deer-in-the-headlights look or the I-wish-he-would-just-shut-up-already look, and then I know I shouldn't have brought it up.

I would really love to. But no one in my family will listen. My father and sister love to read but he likes to keep his reading isolated to himself and she's too moody. it would be nice to discuss favourite moment, any changes one would like to make et c.

Absolutely. I enjoy discussing books with others who share the same passion for it. That is the reason I enjoy book clubs, there is never a dull moment. There are always books to discuss and others to discuss them with. It's nice to share those parts of the book that you absolutely loved or hated, with someone else. It really adds another level of pleasure to the reading experience for me.
