If you don't take life too seriously, and want to have a laugh, it might be worth you reading this book. I only like reading funny books, and although I had never heard of Ryman before, he seems to have a gift of making people laugh. If I can believe what Luke Ryman says on his myspace page, he bumped into Dave Cooper in a pub, whilst Cooper was getting drunk at the bar. Cooper seems to have given Ryman his life story, and Ryman has put their conversation into the pages of a book. Cooper used to work for a large american bank, but is now an unemployed layabout. His views on women, drink and sex had me thinking that there's a bit of Cooper in me. I also love his mate Tony Joy. I had never heard of Luke Ryman before, but apparently he's working on the second book in the series.
