My number one series! Absolutely loved the character development, the premise and everything about the book simply amazing! Gave this series as a whole 5/5 stars! It deserved all the hype it got!

I've read this book a couple years back, and I really enjoyed it. I really liked how the characters were portrayed, and I felt that I could relate even though, in reality, I'm far from the characters and settings. I do have to admit that I have never read the Mortal Instruments series, but after reading Clockwork Angel, I plan to finish up this prequel series and move on to Mortal Instruments.

Will Herondale is my bae <3 and I love him.
I think Tessa made an exceptional heroine for this trilogy and I love, love, loved it!

The Infernal Devices series held my attention in a way that The Mortal Instruments series never could. The characters are better, the plot is just right (not too simple, not too drawn out), and the ending really made an impact on me.

I have now read The Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments series. Well written! Cassandra Clare is a fantastic writer! I was completely involved in both series and am somewhat sad they have come to a pause. There is a new series coming in 2015 which I am anxiously awaiting. I very much appreciated the review on this book as I had never heard of it and once I came across the review I wound up reading not one but NINE books back to back! Great job!

I have read this whole series and I loved it. This was the first ever book I read by this author. Now I'm planning on reading her other series of books.

The Infernal Devices is one of my FAVOURITE book series'. It showed readers, like me, elements of the shadowhunter world that was not present in The Mortal Instruments series. I also found this series a lot easier to get into than Cassandra Clare's other series.

Clockwork Angel is probably currently one of my favourite books, the ruins they draw on their bodies before battle or when someone is hurting or sick, were actually the inspiration for the tattoo that I'm planning to get as soon as I have finished saving the money for it. That's just how much I love these books. I read The Infernal Devices before I read The Mortal Instruments series.

Clockwork by Cassandra Claire is the beginning of one of my favorite series. I wasn't expecting much from the story because of all the hype about it. It's a wonderful story that ties together steam punk elements so well. The protagonist makes a less thought of vision for readers on what a beautiful woman looks like. She demonstrates independence and the lengths someone can go to in order to find out the answers to their questions. The story leaves the reader wrapped around the question on who is Tessa Grey really fighting for in the end?

Clockwork princess - Cassandra Clare.

I thought that the book was so good. I think that her writing style just gets better and better the plot was so good and I loved the characters. I must say that this series might even be better than the mortal instruments. And I love those books.

After the less than ideal demise of her auntie, twice-over stranded Tessa Gray sets out from New York to London to live with her more seasoned sibling, Nate. For all intents and purposes destitute, having spent each and every penny to pay for the burial service administrations, Tessa makes the excursion over the Atlantic. The Dark Sisters, Tessa's greeters after touching base in London, are actually warlocks, claiming to have stole Nate and undermine to murder him unless Tessa consents to their demand. Tessa discovers that she is no standard human, yet has the ability to change herself into someone else in any condition. The Dark Sisters, at last regarding Tessa as "prepared," have arrangements to wed her off to their master, "Magister". That is in till a youthful, quick-witted Shadowhunter takes on the hero's role coming to rescue a rather startled Tessa. Determined to find her brother, Tessa teams up with her rescuers, the Shadowhunters, an eclectic bunch of young demon slayers.

Much like Tessa felt as she made her initial conditional strides off the steam liner ship and onto the bleak Southampton dock, I discovered myself being maneuvered into the shadowy universe of Old London. Clockwork Angel entrapped me—snare, line and sinker. Right when you begin to get swept up into the era- BOOM- myself as the reader is plunged into an extraordinary world where automaton armies are being amassed, demons hide in dim dark corners and vampires prey on the vulnerable, but are the notorious Shadowhunters enough to keep the darkness at bay?

Clockwork Angel constantly surprised me with the plot twists and turns and the evolving personalities of the characters. This is an action-packed book, with a strong punch of urban fantasy and a hint of a love triangle. I would recommend this epic fantasy to any of my fellow YA loving readers with out a doubt.

I loved Clockwork Angel, but it took me a while to get into it, for some reason. But around page forty, I was hooked. The later books are even better, I feel.

I thought it was much better than The Mortal Instruments. Every always talks about how much they love Jace, but I always thought he was kind of cheesy. And a little creepy, in books two and three, to be honest. However, I've noticed that Clare reused Clary, Simon, and Jace for The Infernal Devices; Clary is almost equivalent to Tessa, Simon reminds me of Jem, and Will has a stark resemblance of Jace. Not to mention it's another love triangle.

Despite being set in Victorian London, I related to these characters much better than the characters in The Mortal Instruments.

I am in love with the shadowhunter world and have read both TMI and TID in the span of this past year. I loved both so much and enjoyed every single character. I read TMI first and fell in love. Reading TID was so fun, especially being able to piece things together. I adore all of my little shadowhunters but I think that I prefer TMI over TID. I think its because I prefer modern over victorian.. I just couldn't stand all of the dresses in TID!

I felt like I was able to follow this series easier than the Mortal Instruments. Also, I liked the characters a lot and their stories. I had a hard time putting these down.
