Thank you everyone. I cannot tell you how much it means for you to listen. As I said I've been busy. Not only do I have my support group but I have started to do radio and magazine interviews in the USA and UK to raise awareness of PTSD and its effect on loved ones. I have produced a video of various stories from the ladies in my group. please follow this link, I hope it works, please watch and share. It will make a difference. I warn it is very powerful. No pictures, just words, just our voices.

Ok. I can't post the link. Go into you tube and look up Military PTSD - No Hero is Worth the Abuse

Fortunately no one in my family has had to deal with this awful condition, but I have seen it wreak havoc in the lives of others. Most people are clueless to the signs and symptoms, so families are often blindsided when it strikes. I am glad that there are books such as this one--the author was very courageous for sharing her story and I'm sure her book will help others.

Also, I want to point out that PTSD is not limited to members of the military. Anyone who has dealt with traumatic events (physical or psychological) can suffer from PTSD.

Thanks for the review. True the issue needs to be brought out into open and the suffering of people needs to be highlighted. It seems the author has dealt well with a sensitive issue and this will be a good book to read.
