reubenkey wrote:This review is the first I have read as a brand new member. It is an excellent summary of the stories with no ending spoilers and yet positively descriptive enough that it makes me want to buy it! I do like some horror and love Clive Barker's imaginative works, but over time became less interested in the horror genre. This review has rekindled my interest. I look forward to writing reviews of such exceptional caliber as this one.
I suspect you will find lots of books that you like in the reviews of your chosen genre!

Wow ... this sounds great!

Thanks for the nice and thorough review. Question, though: are these stories anything like Poe's? I don't read a lot of gothic fiction but if they're like his I might give them a go :D

Poe's stories, by comparison, are much more dark and brooding. The world Poe often created is stifling, suffocating and hopeless. These stories have a much lighter feel. They're fun, with a little bit of an edge to them. Not to say the stories have happy endings - most don't - but you're not left with that heavy-weight-on-your-chest feeling as often happens with Poe (to me, anyway), if that makes any sense.

Oh, yes ... that makes perfect sense. Poe was very troubled. Thanks! :D

Thank you for your comment. If you like short stories and stuff that's a little scary, you'll like this. There's nothing here that will keep you up at night, but the stories are interesting and different.
