Icon I am Number Four Book Series

Post by THWilliams82 »

I recently found this forum and am greatly enjoying the topics and discussion, however, I couldn't find anything on the I am Number Four series. It is personally one of my favourite series. I just find it an easy read and even though waiting a year between reading each one(due to the series not being finished), it is easy to get back into the story each time. I am greatly disappointed that the movie didn't do so well. I was really looking forward to more movies being made.

Anyone else agree?

I haven't read this series yet, but I'm glad you said something because I was on the fence about whether to read it or not. I definitely am now! And your right the movie didn't do so well and I'm ashamed to say that it did influence my hesitation on reading it.

I haven't seen the movie or read the books. I have heard mixed reviews, so I wasn't exactly eager to start the series. I will eventually jump on the band wagon and start reading them. Stay tuned lol

I love this series! I saw the movie first but still decided to read the books and I am so glad I did. I always read the books right when they come out and then wish I had taken longer because then I have to wait for the next. I highly recommend reading these books if you haven't.

I saw the movie and I will be definitely be reading this series. I love a good Sci Fi story.

I loved the first three books--the fourth way okay--but I just can't get into The Revenge of Seven. I've owned a copy for months. Has anyone read it yet? What's your opinion on it? Worth reading, or not?

The I Am Number Four series is one of my favorite book series. So far, I've only read the first three books, but I was very impressed by the plot in the book, and the way that Pittacus Lore develops the characters.

I liked the first four books, but I just can't get into The Revenge of Seven. I've owned it for several months and can't enjoy it. This saddens me, considering how much I love the characters.

I too really like the I am Number Four series. The books were great in my opinion they were easy to understand and to imagine. But much like you the movie just did not get it quite right. However, I guess that was to be expected because most of the time movies don't quite meet the expectations that we have based on the book. However, I believe that they could make a second movie if they chose to they would just have to focus more on getting all the aspects right. The movie itself was not terrible on it's own but when combined with the knowledge of the book it was not so great.
