Lauraine Snelling

Post by csimmons032 »

Lauraine Snelling, in my opinion, is a fantastic author. I have read Brushstroke Legacy and I am currently reading Race For the Roses by Lauraine Snelling. Brushstroke Legacy was really good and I think Race For the Roses seems to be extremely good as well. Does anyone agree with me? Have you read either of these books or any other books by Lauraine Snelling? I would love to hear anyone's opinions on this author.

I just finished Race for the Roses and it was an excellent book. I would recommend it to anyone. I am going to start Breaking Free by Lauraine Snelling soon.

I just started A Dream To Follow by Lauraine Snelling. It is a historical novel, so hopefully this one is just as good as the last one I read. For anyone who enjoys a good love story, I would highly suggest Race for the Roses. I will let you know how Breaking Free and A Dream To Follow is.

I read a book of hers several years ago and do not remember having much of an opinion on it. Your post has resurrected my curiosity in her. I will have to pick up one of her books and give them another try.

I just stared reading Once Upon a Summer and When Breaks the Dawn. I am only in the first couple of chapters but they both seem to be engaging books. Has anyone ever read either of these books?

I am actually reading both of those books right now zurkan. That is so funny that we picked the same books. Have you read the first two books in the Canadian West series, which is the When Breaks the Dawn books that you are reading right now? Those are both Janette Oke series though. Anyway, thank you both Ealasaid and zurkan for responding to my post. I hope you enjoy the books as much as I do.

Is Lauraine Snelling a similar author to Janette Oke? I enjoyed reading the Love Comes Softly series when I was a teen, so I am sure that I would enjoy authors similar to her. I suppose I could just march my butt down to the library and pick up one of her books and find out!

Yes Ealasaid, I guess she is pretty similar to Janette Oke. She writes a lot of historical novels like Janette Oke does. Lauraine Snelling does write a lot of modern day novels as well. If you are looking for one to start, then Brushstroke Legacy might be a good one to start with. That one has a mixture of historical and modern day stories. Race for the Roses is a very good book, and one I just finished reading not too long ago. That one has probably been my favorite one of hers, so far anyway. I will continue to post on here whenever I finish a new Lauraine Snelling novel.

You are welcome Ealasaid :) Let me know if you have anymore questions. If you happen to check any of her books out, then I hope you enjoy them.

I just finished A Dream to Follow. It was good, but there are other books of Lauraine Snelling's that I liked a little bit more. A Dream to Follow is part of the Return to Red River series. I am starting the second book of the series, which is called Beliving the Dream. Has anyone ever read this series?

Breaking Free seems to be really good so far, and Believing the Dream is good as well. Breaking Free is more my type of book because it has more of a romance involved. Believing the Dream is good but not one of the best ones that I have read out of Lauraine Snelling.

I just finished Breaking Free by Lauraine Snelling. It was a truly fantastic book, and I would recommend it to anyone. This is a beautiful story about love, forgiveness, starting over, and of course faith. I hope you all give this book a try, you won't regret it :)
