About 1 week, not more than that.

I've always been a fast reader, so I guess it would take me 4 days max to finish a 500 page book. On the other hand, a 1000 page book would probably take more than a week to finish, but all of that depends completely on how much I find the book intresting:)

It depends on how big the writing is.

I'm like all of you, it really depends how interested I am in the book. 300 (or less)-500 page books I usually read in a week, or less if it's really interesting or I have nothing else to do, but 1,000 pages will take me probably close to two weeks. It depends how interesting it is though. I read the Goldfinch (about 800 pages) and it took me weeks to get through because I found it so tedious.

I tend to finish 300ish page books in a few days though, I just hole up in my room reading haha.

I can read most mainstream fiction books (not "classics") of 400-500 pages in one night. If it's Dostoevsky or Melville, I'll be a couple of days.

If I'm really trying to enjoy a book and take it slow, I'll limit how much I read each night to drag it out. I have an 800 pager I plan to do that with once summer starts. :)

I just finished an 800+ page book and once I really got into it, probably 30 pages, I read it in about a week. I'm a slow reader. I try to get inside the author's head at times, and I also stop to ponder 'how did he come up with that description?"

I don't think I have ever read a book this big, but it would probably take me a while. My ADD would kick in and I would have to go read something else for a while. 8)

Depends on my schedule but I usually can read at least a couple of books a week. I like to read at night after my son goes to bed, when it's nice and quiet in the house. If the book is REALLY good, then I usually get through it within a day or two.

If I really like the book, I could probably read it in a day of my schedule allowed for it. But that might also be forgoing some sleep too :) I get a little obsessed when I get into a story.

If the book is great and one that I have been looking forward to then I won't start it until I have a free evening and then I can read the book in probably five or six hours at 500 pages. Over Christmas I read the first book in the Outlander series over the course of about three days while everyone else was rewatching the Lord of the Rings movies.

Like most others here, I think it would depend greatly on my interest in the book as a whole. If I'm reaaaally interested, and prior obligations don't get in the way, not too terribly long. Think I devoured the first Game of Thrones novel in roughly 3 days...?

I find this question very subjective, and I wonder why anyone would care how long it takes anyone to read any book!

To be honest, it really depends on two factors, like most people have already said: Amount of spare time and how interesting/good the book is. The more time free and the better the book, the fast I read it. For a 500 page book, it'll take me about a week. 1000 pages, also depending on the dificulty, two weeks. Three tops.

Genuine interest in how long others take to read a book. Compare and contrast how long you and others do so, or for more insight into reading habits. Just a few I can say out of the top of my head why it is interesting to know.

A 500 page book in the past would usually take me a week or so. Now, I can usually get through a book in two days. I tried eyeQ, which is a program that helps empower your brain to read better. I love it and now read more!

Depends on the book, but usually I can finish it within a week. Harry Potter, however, I read the longer ones from start to finish within 24 hours (yes, I slept)
