Harry Potter series by J.K.Rowling

Post by lekha123 »

I came to know about Harry Potter books through the movie 'Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone'. I didn't quite understood the movie since I haven't read the book. Then I collected the book and began to read.Of course the novel was exciting than the movie that I couldn't put it down unless I have completed the book. Thanks to my sister (who was allergic to books except for this one),who is also a Harry Potter fan, made me available all the series whenever it was released.
For most of them who have seen the movie or just have gone through the book, its just a novel of wizards and magic. But I say they have not plunged deep into the book. One has to understand the plot and characters the author has created for this novel.Once You understand the connectivity of characters and events, only then you can enjoy and understand it deeply. For me this series of books are the one that teach the' muggle ' children the true values of love, friendship and courage to fight against wrong ones (even death) which are seen disappearing fast from the modern 'muggle world'.

The class rooms of Hogwarts school had actually set the magic on the muggle children and muggle parents might think to make education more interesting and more applicable to life.

The novel actually takes a deep sorrow inside with the pain of being an orphan (infact both the hero and villain). It talks about the power of love, truth, honesty and friendship. The personal relations between the characters are very deep(Harry and Dumbledore,Harry and his school friends,Harry and Dobby,Harry and Sirius etc). From beggining to end, the novel carries the sorrow of losing ones family and the anger to the individuals who have caused it.
But these sorrows are drowned in the book underneath the innocence of children who is enjoying every bit of life when they are together at Hogwarts.

At last but not the least one can see the mother in J.K.Rowling who hails the power of mother through Lily, who gives her life to protect her child.
