can't remember the name of a book, help

I can't remember the title of a book and I was wondering if you could help? It is most likely set in the early 1900's, it's about a proper woman in an English, or French area, she is getting older and has a bit of money and decides to go on a trip to Egypt. She hires a young local girl to be her assistant on the voyage. Once in Egypt the rest of the book deals with accounts of a mummy appearing in the town. Well, that's the gist of it, ever heard of it?
