But it's all about the tailor, isn't it?

I'm planning on reading both this book and the one with the eye (the message?), for upcoming BOTM discussions.

Great! I just got The Message and plan to start it within the next day or two. I enjoy the BOTM discussions because I like hearing everyone's points of view. I always learn something.

Ooh, the calendar has caught up with me. I'd better order my copy.

It's very thought-provoking so far. A good BOTM pick right before the juicy tale in July of our favorite tailor, Giorgio, and his lovely fan club.

Hee hee--I've got them both in my cart, as well as some books by ALynn. I think I just want to make sure I don't need anything else, to get with the free shipping over $45, or whatever.

Actually, both the Message and this book about the tailor seem interesting to me. I skipped Paper Towns because it seemed like a "boy" book, but these books: the Message and the Wicked Wives, seem more gender-nonspecific as far as who will like them.

You will certainly like The Wicked Wives. The fact that it's based on a true crime scandal is reason #1 to read it. The fact that it's well written is reason #2. The fact that it's clear that it's well researched is reason #3. There are many more reasons that I can't think of right now. Of course, you will have to take the poll when joining in the discussion.

I am confused. Why don't you just order the e-book versions so that you don't have to get up to the $45 min. for free shipping?

HA HA. Oh my goodness. We need some bananas.

:banana-jumprope: :banana-jumprope: :banana-jumprope:

I'm thinking about it. It's just that I already spend so much time at the computer. Paperbacks get me away from the computer already! I am kind of on the fence about it, so I'll probably wait until tomorrow to buy anything.

You know, they really are cute, with their jump ropes and gaiety.

No soundtrack. Just a joke and I think your eventual laughter shows you got it. :)

HA HA HA... I think my initial response was pretty funny, though. "This book has its own soundtrack??"

When I read this book, the first thing I thought was that it would make a great movie or TV mini-series. If that happens, there could be a great soundtrack of songs from the 1930's. Wasn't that the Swing or Big Band era?

Yeah, I think they did the swing and the jitterbug back then! 1930's... wasn't that the Gershwin era? Any gorgeous Gershwin music could be a soundtrack for this book: Rhapsody in Blue, Concerto in F Major (which I can't listen to without "going somewhere"), etc.
