Re: Twilight Series by Stephaine Meyer

When this series first came out, I was determined not to read it. The books were everywhere. All the girls in my high school carried them around and read them religiously, but I was determined not to give in to the hype. I kept thinking, there's no way a book about vampires and werewolves can be interesting. Before the first movie came out though, I finally gave in to temptation and read it and was pleasantly suprised. I really enjoyed them, although they seemed drawn out. It was always lets read about Edward and Bella for two hundred pages before something exciting happens. Breaking Dawn was my favorite out of the series because it was just action-packed all the way through. Basically, I enjoyed the book series, although they seem long, but absolutely despised the movies. Honestly, Taylor Lautner as Jacob was the only character portrayal I liked.

This series is fun! It is great brain candy, and is one of those series that you want to relax and have an easy reading. When I first read the series, I didn't realize how popular it was. I found out about all the people and how either loved it or hated it, which I didn't understand. I thought it was fun, and worth the read, if you just want something easy to follow and fun. I would recommend it when you are just looking for a series to read in between an extremely busy schedule, and just want to read something light for a few months. Don't let the 'haters' get to you about not reading it, but be wary that Stephanie Meyers' writing is different and might make people cringe, so be cautious about reading if you can't stand certain writing styles. Overall, I'd give it three stars.

I don't think that is how you spell the author's name. Is there any way to change it? People might want to comment on this book but they can't find it.

I've read and re-read the Twilight Saga at least fifty times. It's such an amazing Saga, mystery with a hint of excitement around every corner. After I borrowed the books from my local library, I ended up going to the store and buying the books. Bella is such a curious character, and she keeps you on the edge of your seat with her actions. While Edward is not sitting back, but keeping the story interesting as well. Although the conflict between Jacob and Edward shows more into the saga, you can clearly see from the first book the the two families have conflict. As the series goes on, you are introduced to more characters, that develop the story so much more. In every book of the saga, (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn) the Climax keeps you on the verge, and convinces you to continue reading to find out what happens. Overall, the Twilight Saga is such an exciting book and I'd suggest it to anyone.

I agree with a lot of the people here. I enjoyed the series. I started reading it before all the hype. The hype and the movies really overshadowed the actual quality of the story. The books were quite good. In fact, they were all good enough that I didn't put them down until I was finished.

as with any book to film adaptation, you have to remember that SOOOO much content gets cut. there were scenes that i really was expecting to see in the movies that weren't in them. Oh well.... I am a Twi-fan at heart in any shape or form!

I read these books as each came out in the stores. I fell in love with the story and characters with the first book. Once I finished Twilight I hard a hard time waiting for the next book to come out. There is an excellent mix of likeable and unlikeable characters that I found myself rooting out loud during some of the scenes. Also, the love triangle created turmoil within myself. Then the way the triangle was resolved was very unexpected. I truly enjoyed each of these books and would highly recommend each one.

I enjoyed the Twilight series and was delighted that I have read the books before watching the movies. Once again the books proved to be so much better than the movies. The books were all written well and were full of surprises. I could not wait to start with the next book and actually bought all the books after I have read the first one.

I really loved the Twilight series, granted I did not love them as much as other people I'm sure but I loved reading them. I couldn't stop reading the books!

I loved this series as a whole but I could hardly get through the second book! At the end it was totally worth it. The rest of the series was great, but it still seems to leave you hanging. I hope she addresses some of the questions and maybe even does a new series.

Ok, I must say that I read the Twilight series when It first came out, and enjoyed it a lot. It was the perfect blend of romance and action. Several years later, I read the series again and found that the books are not really well written. The adjective use was repetitive and the main character Bella was pretty bland. I think it is a good book for younger teens, or if you are just looking for some quick entertainment. For me, I wouldn't read the books again. There are so many better vampire romance books out there that have amazing plots and characters. I would look elsewhere if you are thinking about reading Twilight.

I read the books way before it started getting all the trashy beatings. I started the book out of nowhere, even without reading the back cover or a review and hence was pretty surprised when Edward 'outed' himself and his family. But by that time, i had started enjoying the story and had to know what happened. Stephanie meyer's writing style is pretty great. She hardly ever stopped the story-line in between to go on analyzing people or situations. And yet, it was balanced with the feelings and emotional ups and downs in Bella's life. I did not go crazy after the first two books, in fact i was planning on quitting during 'new moon' because of all the depression. But the third book got me going a little, and the last book was pretty much filled with what i look for in a book. The totally unexpected pregnancy, Bella's new life as a vampire, all the new characters with cool powers and Alice's little stunt. The ending left great potential for thrilling spin-offs and frankly, i am still waiting for those.
