Re: Twilight Series by Stephaine Meyer

I really enjoy the Twilight series – both the books and the movies. I think I saw the first few movies before I read the books, so the movies weren’t disappointing to me since that’s what I started with. I too have read the books multiple times and will probably read them many more times. Although I still enjoy the movies, there’s so much more to the books that, whether you’ve seen the movies or not, you should definitely not discount the books.

I think people are a little too harsh on twilight because of the movie fandom. Going back to the book, you can't deny it's a good concept and is actually well written. I'm not a hard core twilight fan but I appreciate a good book!

I go to a writing school, so they universally pan it there. While I do agree that the syntax of Meyer's writing seems iffy to me at times, I enjoyed much of the story line. Of course, I really cannot share that with anyone I know, but it's nice to know that there are some people who (like me) enjoyed it.

I also read this series before the movies ever came out and I absolutely loved it. With her books Stephanie Meyer brought a whole new image of what a vampire is. I am not usually the type of person to get into romance novels but this series was the exception. It's sad that some people will not read the books simply due to some of the negative stigma created from the movies. I am not saying that the movies were bad. I thought they were amazing, however there has been some controversy over them and several of my friends refuse to read the books now simply due to this controversy. I believe the books were absolutely phenomenal and a must read.

I personally didn't enjoy the twilight books very much. Posts of the story were pretty good, but as a whole they felt as if they lacked any real character or emotion

I read the books before watching the movies and genuinely enjoyed them. Once I watched the first movie, which I did not like much, I decided to go back and reread the books. Once I read them again I found Bella really annoying. I wish I hadn't reread them...mainly I think I'm not a fan of the actress portraying her and that is who gets stuck in my head now when reading them. I do like Stephanie Myers writing style though.

The books were good. They were really easy to read and they were very relaxing at most times for me. They also pulled me in right when it was needed to not get bored of them.

The movies did not do the books justice. I was in high school when I read them and it was only us book worms who knew about it. I enjoyed the books and I own them. I've always been a sucker for a good paranormal romance and Twilight was that; the author sucked you in and you felt everything that the characters were going through so I wouldn't consider reading the books a bad idea.

Yes, I love the twilight series! Stephanie Meyers did a wonderful job. I feel like it was the first book in that genre, and now it is overdone. All the memes that say "still a better love story than twilight" make me so mad! I thought the books were absolutely fantastic, and the love story was simply unique, undying, and wonderful. It hurts me that more people cannot appreciate that.

i really enjoyed reading the twilight series. At the time of it's publishing I remember my sister handing me the first one from her bookshelf and saying you'll enjoy this. Turns out she was right I did enjoy the book it was written very well and had a lot of interesting story lines involved. However, the movies blew it out of proportion and made me ashamed to have liked the books at all. However, I can say that I really did enjoy the books and that if given the opportunity I would probably read them again. I believe that people should read the books in this series instead of just judging it based off of the movies that were made.

I was one of those who bought the first book of the series when they came out. I stayed up until 2 am just to finish it. I could see that the writing is not stellar, but I still could not stop reading - in a way it brought back memories from high school. Finishing the second book was a challenge. But the third and the fourth, I couldn't even get myself to finish them. Felt like those last two books were written by a different author :?

This series was great. I've read it multiple times, and enjoyed it more the second time reading it. I read these books before the movies and I am really glad that I did. Not that the movies weren't great but the books were better. The way Edward and Bella love each other is timeless, Stephanie did an amazimg job portraying the love they had for one another. The movies you don't feel that as much, maybe that's just me though. This is a series I will probably read over and over in years to come. Highly recommend, even if you have already seen the movies.

I watched the movies first, but everyone started to say the books was better so i had to read it. I have to say the book series was superior to the movies. I was really suprised because the movies where really good. I was asking at the end of the book series how is the book that great. All in all the movie was good, but the books were better.

The Twilight Series was a beautiful read for me. I read this book before any of the movies came out, so it was less known and less popular. This was an intense love story for me and I loved every minute of it. Right after I finished the first, I needed to read the second and so on. I was so captivated by the romance and also the fantasy in this series. The author is a genius and I respect her so much. My view towards this series has died down a bit after I watched the movies and also after the world became all about Twilight and Team Jacob/ Team Edward :snooty: But I do remember being obsessed with the books and the feelings I had. I can truly say that this was one of the first romances I read and to this day romance is my favourite genre.

When I first read this series I was twihard fan from the beginning and I loved Edward.i mean LOVED him and as I read them and the movies came out I loved everything even more. The movies captured the storyline and the characters perfectly. It kept you on your toes with all the drama, suspense, and the unknowing. The one thing though I wish Stephanie Meyer would have went into greater detail about was the Volturi. At first I hated them but they mysterious they where the villians and everyone was concerned in the end about what would happen when they found out but,we don't know a lot about them. The witch twins the rest of the guard and what power they posses, the leaders. Marcus how he had the greatest love of all time and how he became emotionless. Caius and how he became so evil and heartless and why he hated children of the moon . Aro how he would do anything to get his way and how he became what he is. There are so many unanswered questions that I think everyone is a little curious about. Don't you.
