Re: Who is your favorite YA author?

My favorite YA author would have to be Jennifer Armentrout. I absolutely loved the Covenant series, due to being a complete geek when it comes to Greek Mythology! I highly recommend all of her books (including her New Adult books, if you enjoy more mature reads) to anyone who enjoys a little bit of romance as well as some paranormal aspects thrown in when reading!

OMG! I can't chose any one author. I read many books and I repeatedly get asked the same question and every time I have that little debate inside my head.

I'm not trying to copy, but I love Jennifer Armentrout. I can't help it, one day I found her books and I couldn't stop reading. I have always been a hopeless romantic and Jennifer has just the right amount in almost everyone of her books. After just the first book in my now favorite series LUX, Armentrout took her rightful position as my favorite YA author. :)

I really love Pierce Brown, and the Red Rising Trilogy, to me its almost adult rather than YA, but the themes are all there

I second Jennifer Armentrout! I loved her Lux series and she's written others under a different name that I've enjoyed also. Another favorite YA author of mine is Abbi Glines. I can't read through her new books fast enough and have usually pre-ordered them. I have reread her books countless times.

Tough question, and I don't think I can pick one.

I love Christopher PIke. While reading his trilogy about The Dance, The Party, and the Graduation, it was pure vicarious joy. Like I was right there re-experiencing my senior year of high school with all the craziness. (Warning: his books are actually pretty gritty.)

I also love the Fingerprints series by Melinda Metz (I think that's the author?). Addictive!! Unfortunately, I figured out who the bad guy was in book 4 (out of 7), and that kinda ruined it for me--I never read further.

I also love Alyson Noel. She is so freakin' inventive. Kelley Armstrong is equally amazing. Her trilogy: Her Darkest Powers, really drew me in. Very atmospheric.

I also love Jessica Verday's trilogy about Sleepy Hollow. Unfortunately, there's no plot to push it forward. On the other hand, the atmosphere she creates is amazing.

I love John Green because he takes me back to when I was a teenager and he was my favorite author. His books are so relatable.

Suzanne Collins is my favorite overall author, but my favorite YA author is by far John Green. The way he makes you connect to his characters is quite incredible and he is the type of author I would like to be one day. My favorite books by him are The Fault in Our Stars, Looking for Alaska, and Paper Towns.

My favorite YA author is Kirsty Moseley. I've read her books multiple times and my best friend and I have bonded over them. Nothing Left to Lose is my favorite book that she wrote.

That is always such a really hard question for me because I love soooooo many. Right now I would have to say that my favorite YA author is Marissa Meyer. I absolutely adore The Lunar Chronicles series. I think it is such a unique series with awesome world building and characters. I can't wait until Winter comes out in November!!!

I honestly clicked on this forum to put Jennifer L. Armentrout. She is so amazing! And I totally agree with you about the Lux and Covenant series. They are pure gold. However, I will also say Marissa Meyer, author of the Lunar Chronicles.

Really? I read that, into book three somewhere. At that point, it was just way too suspenseful, nail-biting, edge-of-your-seat. The first book actually didn't have enough suspense. I shoudl have enjoyed that while it lasted.
