Icon Paper Towns by John Green Review

Post by book-reader07 »

"Paper Towns" by John Green was quite an enjoyable read, in my opinion. The beginning of this book has a flashback of Margo and Quentin finding a dead body in public. They find themselves pondering why this person would ever even think to commit suicide. Margo says something along the lines of "maybe his strings broke." Later on in the novel when Margo disappeared, Quentin thinks that Margo wanted to kill herself due to him finding something about "strings breaking," which he takes as a hint or clue Margo left for him to find her. This was a very deep and emotional part of the book because it really evoked the reader's sympathy, which is a great quality in a story. "Paper Towns" as a whole was an exciting, adventurous, and lovely contemporary read which I personally thoughroughly enjoyed. I definitely recommend you picking up this book, especially now that the movie has just been released.
