When someone says, "Oh, you're a reader. I don't have time to read." The comment always comes across as you are don't have anything else to do all day, while they have an incredibly busy, interesting life.

Oops - don't call the grammar police on me! It should say "as you don't have", not "as you are don't have." I started to write "as you are sitting around all day" and things didn't fall into place when I changed it. Sorry about that!

By the way, the person that said that to me was a neighbor who was an obsessive Martha Stewart type of person. She would spend hours decorating every inch of her lawn for Halloween and obsessively cleaning her house 24/7. Different strokes for different folks. :)

HA HA! Yeah, I hate that. Or when you ask someone to do something for you, something minor, and they're like, "Oh, I can't find the time in my busy schedule." Like every moment of their meaningful lives are planned. It's like, if you don't want to do it, just say so.

Halloween decorator, eh? HA HA. We have a whole neighborhood that does that here in Louisville. Actually it's just a street. Hillcrest Avenue. Hillcrest is the reason that my poor dad and I never get any trick-or-treaters!! :o

You should be happy...more candy to eat in the house the next day. :) In my previous neighbor's case, it was more of a "try to beat out the neighbors" in decorating. You would think there was a trophy involved.

HA HA HA... but we love the kiddies, and we never get more than two on a good year! Often, we don't get any trick-or-treaters at all!

Actually, maybe you should have given her a trophy, BookOwlie!

Russell, you crack me up.

As long as you are not actually an egg, then that is a good thing. :D

when I introduce myself as a psychologist , I usually go like this :"Hi ,im ola ,im a psychologist ,no I cant know about your personality from your handwriting ,no I have no idea what are you thinking about , and lastly im not crazy just because im working with people with mental disorders"
it's just tiring each and every time.
