Thank you all for your words of encouragement and ideas.
I can already feel the pain in my big toe! lol.

I also agree with the observation that children do respond well to repetition. "Oh no! Not again!"

Well, now I'll just be reiterating what everyone else has said but what a lovely review. And that author's note was really nice to see. The cover is so cute and the stories apparently match.

I've been considering reading a kid's book on this site (to balance out all the dark, more "grown-up" stuff) and you've convinced me to do just that. :)

It is always great to step back once in awhile to childhood and remember a time of innocence. This sounds like a cute book to get for my girls.

The stories all sound fun. And who doesn't love reading about witches on brooms scaring the poor townsfolk with their "unique" lineaments. Certainly not me. Great review, Jesska6029! It was really entertaining with food for thought aplenty. The only thing scaring me about this book is not that it's about witches, but the grammatical errors you mentioned. I can deal with typos, but incorrect punctuation marks would absolutely get on my nerves. Like a bee bugging me on my smoke break.

Leon,
Your feedback is much appreciated, particularly re grammatical errors.

I am in the process of addressing this shortcoming.

Can anyone on this site, recommend a organisation/individual that may be able to assist in this area?

Michael

I would suggest contacting Scott, the administrator of this site. He could probably steer you in the right direction. Also, sometimes a friend or relative can pick up grammatical errors. I'm sure you're a very good writer, but sometimes people can't find their own errors. You could probably find someone else's errors, though. :)

Friends and relatives have already been very helpful.

Must be time to change my friends - not sure what I can do about relatives! :)

Many thanks for getting back to me.

@Tanaya sometimes children's books are just so refreshing!

@literarycat - It's a super cut story!

@Leon Durham - thanks for the kind words! I got a chuckle out of the simile at the end of your comment. :)

@michaeldeleo - I would find a professional editor, so you can ensure your final work will have minimal errors.

Great review! I always like to find new stories for children, especially ones that they can learn from, and this book sounds like it would be a good book for children in a number of different ways. I like that you mentioned that the witches have distinctive personalities, but still get along together and support each other. The length of the stories and the use of words that children can understand also make for a good book for children. The stories also sound like ones that children would be interested in. This is a nice review that gives a lot of information about the books. Thanks.

Yes, excellent review!

Can't understand why the stories are not selling!
Oh well, I enjoy writing them. The important thing is that my grandkids love them.

I am not in the industry, but I feel so privileged to have read works of writing from both of you.
