Ulysses. I just couldn't get into it and didn't see the point of forcing myself, since it was supposed to be for pleasure in the first place!

Surprisingly, a book I could never get into was The Girl Who Played With Fire. I know it is part of a very popular series, but somehow I was not compelled to continue reading.

That happened to me at first. First 250 pages were just soooo boring. But then I literally couldn´t put the book down.

The Great Gatsby. Here I sit waiting for the echoes of gasps I just really didn't like the writing style and couldn't get through it...It was a reading assignment in high school and I hated it so much that instead I wrote my project piece on a book I actually enjoyed. Still got an F. Didn't care lol!

I never got around to finishing "The Alliance" by Mark Frost.

For some reason I could never finish the book Catch 22. I enjoyed what I did read of it but could never get into it enough to finish it. The funny thing is I have recommended it to friends who loved it. Maybe it is time to give it another try.

I never finished A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce. I couldn't follow the story because of his writing style.

Winter Girls. I have heard so many good things about this book, but I couldn't get past the comparison one of the character to a moth.

I never did finish Jane Eyre. I keep wanting to pick it back up but I never have gotten around to it, sadly.

Thirst, Sea of Shadows, Gone Girl and The Host are the first ones that come to mind. I usually give a book about 3 chapters before I give up. I also couldnt get through 'Insurgent' or "Game of Thrones' but those I want to try again at a later date

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. This one I tried to read as recommended by friends. But after reading, I just can't feel my heart being into it. Although I find the movie adaptation quite good.

The Bear and the Dragon by Tom Clancy. I'm usually enjoy all the political intrigue Clancy puts in his books but this one just jumped around to much. I would finally be getting into one point of view and then he would switch to another so quick it just became to tedious to keep going.

There are two books that I have not finished no matter how much concentration I put into them. The Wind in the Willows and Ender's Game. Wind in the Willows was because I just did not want to read it and Ender's Game just did not appeal to me

Catching Fire. The movie came out before I could finish it (yeah i know how long does it take me to read a book? but after a while you just lose interest) I was going to finish the book but then just went to see the movie. I still feel guilty about it.
Also, Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins. I loved that book. BUT I LOST IT. :'( Now I don't want to buy it again. :'(
