The girl on the train

Post by Jhowerton »

I recently read the girl on the train and found it to be very interesting. I think the book brought up a lot about trust-who you can trust and who you can't. I found it hard to trust anyone in this book as they were all secretive. I thought that the details about Rachel's infertility were very telling about how something like that has the ability to change/shape your mental health. When Rachel was unable to have a baby was when many of her issues started and she seems to have spun out of control.

The book also talked about the spouses having secrets from each other and while I think married cupples have secrets from from each other I think it's pretty obvious that healthy couples don't have BIG secrets like these couples.

Either way the book had a good mix of characters and the ending was a surprise to me so I was pleased!
