I have honestly only read one. It was a decent bit of fluff reading to unfog my head from my management textbook. I can definitely say though that it's not a theme that I could read in a lot of books.

The majority of the common "billionaire romances" are almost exactly the same and make me roll my eyes. Most are horribly written, totally unrealistic, usually not very healthy in terms of definition of a relationship, and most come off cheesy. That being said, I do read them. I see them as that guilty pleasure read you get to pull you out of some funk. Something to occupy your mind with and that doesn't make you sit and think. I love a good novel that really works your mind, but I also enjoy these little moments of smut where I can take a break from reality and fall into a fantasy land where billionaire men fall for ditsy, stupid females and sex happens 10 times a day and even though he is battered and broken (or the female lead is too) you both can save each other and every time something bad happens and you fight, he buys you a new car and tells you that he would move worlds for you and only you...and already I've replaced "female lead" with "you" haha. It's something I see as a place where women's fantasies come true. And if filthy rich alpha males who love you to the point of controlling you isn't your thing....then these types of books won't be either.

wattpad....the reading app has quite a few billionaire romance novels. I have read them and I promise they have substance and not some random sexual affair and boom they get married.

I didn't realize Billionaire Romance was a theme, but after reading Fifty Shades of Grey (just the first one, I couldn't stand to read the others), "Wanted" by J. Kenner and a few others whose titles I've already forgotten, it gets old so fast. Girl meets guy, guy is rich, they make love on his yacht/in his mansion/(fill in the blank), he buys her stuff, she falls in love...
I'll be honest, I like erotica and I like the sex, but I just need more to a story, you know?
I've seriously thought about gritting my teeth and writing one just because they sell so well in the market right now.

Precisely! Have you read Gabriel's Inferno? I was made to believe that was an erotic novel just like all other billionaire romance books but it turned out there's really almost no "erotica" in it. It's def more story line than sex. It started slow but then once they did ""get together" it kinda took off like wild fire like what you mentioned. It still has the "obsessed" theme a lot of them do. I wish a lot of these books weren't so "we had sex, we are a couple now BAM ENGAGED AND SO IN LOVE OMG I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU". It reminds me of high school when you celebrated 3 week anniversaries because you guys are soul mates
And I totally get what you mean about writing one yourself. I've been mulling over what I plan to write this year and part of me wants to write my own just so I can not have the crazy guy obsessed with his girl and the little naive twit bugging him every second about his troubled past he wants to forget as they make love 5 times a day in his penthouse. And as you said, they tend to sell like hotcakes lol

What is the name of this series? Sounds like an entertaining read!

Let's face it we all know what the main storyline is going to likely be in these billionaire romances yet why are people surprised when it turns out to be what we thought? There are a few series that I have really enjoyed and a few I haven't but I feel as a form of escapism I enjoy them :-)

I am totally with you on this. I feel like they are all starting to become the same...They meet, he insists they date. She goes along with it, then he does something stupid. They break up, then make up, then live happily ever after. I find myself bored, skimming through paragraphs, sometimes even pages. I love me some alpha male leads, as much as the next girl, but I feel like they are just all the same. I want to read a book that I can't put down because I can't wait to find out what happens next. Unfortunately lately they have all become predictable and that is unfortunate!

Hello, I feel as if I could never get tired of them. I always tend to get excited whenever the main characters have an encounter. Yeah sure, it's the same concept of the story, which is when the poor girl or the girl with no luck with life finds or meets this billionaire and they both end up loving each other. If you think about it though, we still read them. No matter how old it gets or how the story doesn't change just the name. I think I am glad these books are being written as much because when you just want to relax a day or a couple hours you could pick these books up and read them for a little entertainment. 8)

I got into the habit of reading billionaire romances. Mostly because I like happy endings and I was pretty much guaranteed one. Also, they are such quick reads that I can relax and read through it one evening.
