This is one of the books I wish were never ending.

I also saw something about how the books might have different meaning - a boy in mental institution who imagines things to get over his troubles. I honestly think those people are the one who are insane, because wizard are real

Is it your first read? I envy you. I have read the entire series and loved it!!! The series gets better as it goes on. Enjoy!Escapeartist wrote:I just finished the Sorcerer's Stone!! I too had to finally read it after all the hype over the years, and the Harry Potter shaming of my reading friends over the years, and I absolutely loved it. @Sarah G I agree about the simple language, the language is simple, but the story and characters are complex. I actually enjoyed that. I just read The Great Gatsby and it was the opposite, great language but without a character I really loved. There is a time and place for both I think.

Glad to hear! A wonderful start to the year!Escapeartist wrote:@gali yes this is my first read!! I loved this first book. It's been a great year, and a great start for the new year. Last year I read The Never-Ending Story, The Princess Bride and The Dark Tower Series among many others. Now I end this year-end and begin new year with the Harry Potter series for the first time.
