Looking at chapter one we find an introduction of The Mindsets.
Here are our two questions. Please respond before February 22nd.
1.) Is there a talent or ability you would like to have but don't? What could be one thing you could do to develop that ability?
2.) In what ways do you as a teacher demonstrate to your students that they are in charge of their academic success; that their effort is the key to their success?
Happy Reading!

2) Because my students are challenged in various ways, I try to teach them skills that are needed in the real world. In addition I try to be that positive, encouraging person, who tells them that life can be challenging but that they have the ability to achieve their dreams. We talk about consequences to actions. My students share so much family information, which also gives me a chance to discuss what could that person have done differently. Because my students all have Individual Education Plans (IEPs), I have to address the future with them. We develop goals in independent learning, career, education, etc. Much of our writing has to do with this. I love the Reality Store that we do, because it affords more opportunities to discuss your responsibilities as an adult.
