I've just finished 'The Death Instince' & it's a fabulous read ... most enjoyable and rivetting book.

Set against the background of the bomb on Wall St on 16th Sept 1920 (which was news to me) it's both a thriller & a detective story. Amazing & disturbing parallels with more recent events. I loved 'The Interpretation of Murder' and this one also features Sigmund Freud & the beginnings of Psychoanalysis. It really is a rivetting read with lots of political & business corruption and post war neurosis and convoluted personal relationships.

Highly recommend both books.

I have read The Interpretation of Murder and found it interesting. I should try your recommendation 'The Death Instinct'.
