Kenina is the goddess of fire, and has been arranged to marry to marry Neversis, the god of water, since birth. However, there is just one small problem: Kenina absolutely hates him. After setting the stables on fire due to Neversis’s constant nagging, Kenina’s father, Zorako, God of Destruction, decides to move up the wedding - to two days from then. Kenina pleads with her father to not force her to marry, but her supplications fall on deaf ears, leaving Kenina with only one option: to escape to the human world. Gods and Goddesses alike use humans as servants in the world of Osarious. Kenina herself does not think highly of them - except for one: her personal servant and friend, Sarah. Sarah agrees to help Kenina escape and learn about the human world, as long as Kenina agrees to take Sarah with her.

Once Kenina and Sarah get to the human realm, a man by the name of Jack Dalton comes to their aid when he finds them in his field. Kenina is instantly drawn to this human. Jack agrees to shelter the women and the attraction between Jack and Kenina grows. They soon realize they love each other. But happily ever after isn’t so easy when you have an angry water god fiancée looking for you. Kenina must fight for her life, her love, her freedom, and so much more, with the help of her love, Jack, her friend, Sarah, and many other unexpected beings. This goddess of fire will wage war on anyone who tries to hurt her friends, her Jack, or any other human in the world she has come to love.

The Goddess of Fire: Complete Collection contains five books: Burn, Smolder, Ignite, Inferno, and Fire and Ice. This collection of books is fascinating and definitely sparks the imagination. The plot keeps a nice steady pace, with a few unexpected twists. The characters are well developed, and it is plain to see who the main and supporting characters are. The descriptions are nicely done and paint an image in the mind’s eye easily.

The books are told through Kenina’s perspective, which I think actually adds wit to the storyline. After all, she knows nothing about mortals or the mortal world, so to see through her eyes what we humans are like will give you a chuckle. But there are other witty parts throughout, as well as, romance, action, friendship, bravery, and hardships.

There weren’t any grammar issues as far as I could tell, but there are some punctuation issues. There are commas in a lot of spots that need exclamation points, and a few periods where commas should be. However, the issues don’t hinder the storyline too much. I was actually in the last book before I realized it was a running theme throughout the collection.

It was hard to summarize this collection because it is multiple books and I didn’t want to give away any spoilers to this fascinating series. This is definitely a must-read for romance and fantasy lovers. This collection is great for young adults, as well as older adults. The plot keeps you engaged so that you don’t want to put down the book - you just have to know what is going to happen next.

I give The Goddess of Fire: Complete Collection a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. Though there were some punctuation issues it didn’t take away from the story. I still felt engaged and enthralled through the whole series. The characters and descriptions were well written, and easily envisioned in the mind’s eye, making the characters relatable. It also left me wanting more!
