This sounds like a great book! I love it when authors can entice you early on

That's one of the things I liked about the story, that it grabbed me right from the first chapter.

Fantastic and balanced review. I love character driven YA novels. This sounds like a great read!

Thanks Bluemel! I still find myself thinking about the characters almost two weeks after finishing the book.

The genre for this one is tricky. It kind of has to be YA, because the main characters are high school students, but Amy, and the story with her, outgrows that label quickly.

I agree that the story straddles the YA and General Fiction genres. I don't care for the Young Adult label for books because adults will sometimes overlook a great book because of the YA categorization. Anyway, this book is just one great page turner!

"The Student Council" is FREE for download on Friday, June 10th. The popular "Free Fish Friday" is also available at no cost in the Amazon Book Store.

What a nice thing to do! I highly recommend both books. By the way, it's funny that Free Fish Friday will be free on Friday. :)

Once again, you've given us a great review! This book sounds like one worth picking up! The "Get Your Ass To School Act" alone makes me want to read it, as that sounds sounds like something we need to enact where I live (along with the "Get Your Ass Home After 9:00 p.m. Act," but I digress!) Again, great review!

Thanks for the kind words. The book really kept my interest. I grew so attached to the characters that I hope the author decides to write a sequel.
