My grandmother keeps bugging me to get a tattoo. I've no idea why. Maybe we'll get matching bloody skulls.
How perfectly goddamned delightful it all is, to be sure.

Tattoos arn't too bad as long as they arn't visible 24/7. I only like them if they have deep meaning too. Some random heart is kinda lame

I've heard once that any tatoo is like something alien to your body, so the last one struggles with It all the time during human's life :?

Who's to judge what that deep meaning is? That random heart someone gets may be for a loved one lost.

Getting tattoos on your body is like you're expressing an art on it and not because you think that you'll will cool if you have one. And I don't see any reason why other people are condemning people who have tattoos.

I don't have any tattoos, but i've been thinking of it for a couple of years now.

If i get it, it will probably be a long Camus excerpt in french in a spiral down my whole arm, like a sleeve of some sort.

It's a big IF though, because of the finance, then i don't know how much would it fade etc.

But if i'm getting one, it will be hc. Not some stamp on my back or biceps. That way the text shall always be cut into my skin / pathos off :)

I very rarely like someones tatoo and I wouldn't make one myself.

None so far. I'm not sure I want someone else "needling" me. I'd like to get my kids' initials on my back, maybe. But then, I've got a few hundred other things to buy/pay for, first!

I have four mandarin characters tattooed on my left bicep. I got it when i was really drunk with my best friend. She was wearing a shirt with these characters on her shirt. She dared me to get them tattooed on my arm. Cut a long story short I woke up the next day with my new tattoo. :D

What was even funnier was that she got one in the small of her back and did not even remember until I spotted it while we were swimming. Its a little frog dancing with a tophat and an umbrella.

@RuqeeD

I found out months later that it is basically gibberish. We went for a holiday to see her parents and her Dad is Chinese. We asked him what it meant and he asked me where I got it from. When I told him it was off one of his daughter's shirts he laughed and then proceeded to tell me that basically it meant nothing. Imagine if I go to a holiday in China. It would be like a Chinese holidayer walking around here with good, jam, peanut, lift or something else with no meaning whatsoever on his arm. :D They are real Manderin characters though. :D

Disregard previous question. :)
My mom's boyfriend printed some shirts for his aikido dojo, with a Japanese symbol on the back. Translated, it meant "back".

Not in a million years would I get a tattoo ... way too squeamish ... needles at the GP's or dentist is more than enough for me

I don't actually like them on other people either & I can't see how anyone thinks they are sexy ... just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid but each to their own

@Swing .... delighted to see you back posting, we missed you. You're freezing in Warsaw I gather ... cheer up Spring is only round the corner.

I know that my tat was a drunken mistake, but my gf has wanted me to get another one on my right arm for ages now. We both agree on the mandarin character for wisdom. Its not that I am wise but the character looks cool. :D Two would be enough for me though.
