Sticks and Stones by Emily Bazelon

Post by smsichelman »

This book provided insight on Meijer bullying problems that are faced in school. It delved into the lives of a few specific people who were being bullied and even provided some perspective of the students doing the bullying. As well as The written accounts from the perspective of the bullied there were also series surrounding how this gets so bad in schools. It was incredibly eye-opening. Obviously the cases that were discussed were very extremee, but I think you did a great job of making the reader aware of the problem and how bad it can get.

This book definitely tug at the heartstrings while providing some actual evidence as to what kind of programs would help bullying in schools. I think all professionals in the education field should put this book on their list
