This is an interesting concept. I looked at the pictures, and I think the concept is too young for ages 3-4. I'd stick with ages 5-10 personally.

Thanks for the comments. There is a big trend toward adults coloring, so I can see this book being appealing to adults as well as kids.

Actually, the book is also available in paperback on Amazon for $7.95. Oddly, the Kindle and paperback versions are listed with a ever-so-slightly different title so the Kindle listing doesn't also show the other format.

I liked the description of the book so much, I got it for myself (I'm 61!). With the rhyming scheme, it sounded like something that might help my own stress levels (my husband's very ill). And if it messes up my kindle like it did the reviewer's, I'll follow their suggestion and read it from my computer.

I can honestly say this is the first review I've read for a coloring book. Great, detailed review and I do agree based on the sample I 'read' that it is interesting combining it with a meditative story.

What a great review! Kids do certainly have a lot of stress these days and this book with poems and teaching them relaxation techniques would certainly be helpful. This is a book I'd consider getting in the future as my youngest is 19 and I don't have any grandkids yet.

Good point about the small details in the pictures. That's important for parents/teachers/caretakers to know. Some children might get frustrated, while others will like the challenge.

I flipped through it since it was the free book of the day today, and somehow I didn't even notice it was encouraging meditation! This review was really insightful and detailed, and I'm sorry ya had the issues with kindle! I've noticed mine does that sometimes too, especially if I try to flip quickly to find something.

I also (since I haven't printed any pages yet) noticed the small spots to color. I can see that being frustrating.

Great review. Today is my little cousin's birthday, I think this would work as a great gift for him, Kids this days never use their imagination since everything is as I say is"pre-imagined" for them. In my childhood I could build almost anything with Legos without needing a manual to tell me what I have to build with my Legos, now kids only build what they are already told to build, like if they don't have their own imagination.

Great review, very detailed. I think this is a great activity book for kids and seems to have enough in it to keep a younger child occupied via a Kindle. It's kind of strange to have a coloring book on a Kindle but I think printing out a few pages to color while viewing via the Kindle is a good idea. Thanks for the outlook!
