Inner Demons

Post by poppletron »

He sat there alone in the dark room only lit by a solitary candle. He contemplated over the gun he held in his hands. He had made his choice, and as long as this had a chance of putting a stop to the beast he had to try. To many people had already been hurt, so much pain, so much loss. It must end tonight, tonight he’d face his inner demons and kill the beast. He loaded the silver bullet into the gun and raised it to his head. This was what he had to do no turning back now. Kill the man to slay the beast. One bullet, one chance to put an end to this once and for all.

Do you have a plan for this piece? Are you writing a full book on this paragraph? I think it would be a great read if you chose to. I was drawn in from the beginning.

I never thought of making it longer, but that would be cool.

I enjoyed reading this! I hope you have more coming. The anticipation was building very easily that it makes you want to keep reading. Awesome job!

Ahhhh you should write more! It was such a good dramatic idea and I think other readers would enjoy it as well.

I like the image of the darkened room with low candle light. It feels like a teaser for a longer story. You should go with it!

I definitely recommend making this longer, maybe into a short story. I think it even has the possibility of making a great start to a novel!

Like everyone else, I say it would be great to continue on. Definitely something I would enjoy reading, but "drabbles" are fun as well. I write them myself quite a bit just to get specific scenes out of my head.
