I've signed up to review website slice the pie. They send me some very cool music I wouldn't have discovered otherwise.

I just look through a bunch of YouTube videos, usually just covers on there. I almost always end up finding a new band or artist I like every time I even go on there.

I'm a big fan of NPR's tiny desk concerts. I can watch the artists preform their favorites, then I can use youtube to see what else they've done, and what other users watch after they listen to them.

Reddit is another good option. The subreddit, r/listentothis is really great at finding sounds you've never heard before.

I usually discover new music by listening to the car radio and through my children.

This is a great topic idea! I feel the same way, I listen to the same music constantly. I'm lucky if I find a new album I like once a year! I like the ideas about listening to pandora/iTunes/google music, but I find sometimes I don't have the patience to listen to the different stations and wait for something to come along that I like! Anyone else feel this way? If so what do you do?

Ah, I get in to such periods as well, they are frustrating. However, I have found that it is a random moment that I will become introduced to new music, so my only advice I believe is keeping an open ear.

I have some Facebook friends who post links to music, and I've gotten to hear some new music as a result. I enjoy this, because music seems to be made so often and quickly now that I find it hard to even know what is new ;-). That being said, a lot of the posts are to old music--you know, the stuff that 1960s folks liked--and that's been great too. I've listened to a lot of old stuff I had totally forgotten.

There are a ton of ways. But I've narrowed it down to Spotify, YouTube, and social media. Spotify is useful for organizing all of these music and it's my go-to for finding music that I heard recently.

I listen to different radio stations and Shazam a new song I take a liking to. I also love watching amvs (anime music videos) and will run into new songs. I also use theside bar on YouTube to find new songs.I do find some new songs on Pandora too.

I flip through the radio stations as I am driving, and give everything that's not a commercial a chance at my ear. Even if I don't like it right away, I try to listen to the songs that come on for at least 30 seconds- usually by then I can tell if the music and lyrics will be something I can relate to or not.

I usually type in the search area of spotify new pop or sometimes i look at the options of similar tastes at the bottom where it gives you suggestions of interests. I like violin pop music so i find mostly classical interests alot. But you would be surprised what you find. :)

Well, there are a few different ways for me. If I'm feeling like a loner then I will go to different Music Choice channels on TV and just let it paly while I do chores, if I hear something new I like I write it down.

If I am feeling social, I'll have a friend write down their favorites. My brother was always the best at finding new music, sometimes I borrow his iPod.
