Thanks for the review. While I do love romance and emotional type books, I think that I would enjoy a book like this fast-paced and just get to the meat of the book. There are definitely some books that need the emotional and all around background information, but sometimes, like with mafia type books, it is not necessary to have that because it would take away the machoness of the book.

Thanks for the objective review! Great insight on the workings of story.

I can't get the book. It's saying it's unavailable. Never mind ?

I don't know if I could stand this foul language. Thanks for the open review. The story is typical Italian mob making a living by usury, deception, and violence. Not my type of literature. It is in my shelf now maybe I would glance at it one day just for curiosity of what particularly it is all about.

I haven't had time to read the book, but from your review I know I will enjoy reading it. I am so impressed that Mr. Marsiglia is 81 years old. I don't know how long he wanted to be an author but he hung in there and reached his goal with a book that I think will be successful. Congratulations to him.

Wonderful review! Sounds like and intense read. The story line sounds like it has to be fast paced to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. Books like that usually have me flipping back a few pages to catch a detail needed for something that happens later in the story. Of course, mafia type movies are sometimes fast paced because of the intense reactions needed when someone is on the run for their lives. Looking forward to escaping for a few hours to read this page-turner

Does not seem like a book I could get into, I would be put off by the lack of real detail behind the characters change in personality. I need the emotions and descriptions with the action and dialogue to really get into it. Great review though! :) Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Good objective review. Usually the mob books don't interest me....but there is always a first time (The Godfather!), and another chance egged on by the review which I enjoyed.
