This sounds very interesting. Your review is great, and I'm glad you pointed out the fact that it sounds like a series you have already read. Thank you for drawing that comparison.

Great review! as I was reading your review, I automatically saw the Harry Potter similarities. Thanks for addressing that in the review. This must be a fantastic book in order to still receive a 4 star rating!

Good job on the review! I have to admit I wasn't exactly expecting such an interesting plot when I heard it was a children's novel, but I was pleasantly surprised after reading a few pages. :)

Wonderful review! I love that there is a magical world where the children learn how to create art by using magic. It sounds exciting and extremely enjoyable. Can't wait to start reading!

From the review, this sounds a bit too mature for my young son, but I'm still going to give it try with him.
Congrats to the author on the high rating!

Great review :) I love how in depth you got including the comparison to the Harry Potter story. I have a tradition of reading books with my kids. When Harry Potter came out one of my older sons was in elementary school and we had a great time reading that series together through the years. This sounds like a wonderful addition to the books I'm now reading with my youngest who is currently in middle school. He also loves Harry Potter and is always looking for stories like it so I'm sure we will love this one. Thanks so much for sharing.

Great review. I have no problem with the Harry Potter feel to it. It is almost impossible to write something really unique since most ideas in fantasy have been explore in one way or the other. I'm certain that there were other stories before Harry Potter that had a similar plotline.

Thanks for the enlightening review. It is really fit for middle kids. I haven't read any of the Harry Potter books so for me this would be an original material. Reading this book would send me back to that age of fairy tales and may make me feel imaginatively young again. Congratulations to the author for his fantastic imagination and the encouraging review.
