IBooks vs. Tablet (Kindle/Nook/etc.)

Hello fellow book lovers!

I've always used iBooks as my digital platform for enjoying ebooks but I've recently been considering investing into a reading tablet. To those who have had similar dilemmas, what benefits have you found to reading on a Nook/Kindle vs. using an iPhone or iPad? What brands do you suggest, and how do each differ? In a market that is so competitive and offers similar products, how do you know which is the best option?

I love the kindle app even on my iPad. I just like the features it has I guess, recent updates have even made it better. Happy Holidays!

I have a tablet with the kindle app. What I love is that I have come across so many new authors based on my reading recommendations, plus I can read when hubby asleep without a light disturbing him

I have both Kindle and iBooks apps installed and i totally dig iBooks' interface. It's clean and flawless, well, except its occasional crashes but all in all, I find it better than Kindle.

tablet is the best one to view and read for readers. i have Apple iPad Air 2

I love my kindle paperwhite. I can adjust the text size, background lighting, and it is lightweight.

I think that a tablet is better than a reader because it allows more functions and capabilities. If you are investing money then you should get the most out of it

My only experience has been with kindle. Well I really like it. I have bad eyesight and reading on phone really took a toll on it. I switched to kindle and well yet my eyes still get tense from the focus, I like it better.
