I listen to audio books more than I read, so my goal is to stop that! I have enough time now to really enjoy books (not just pass the time commuting) so my goal is to read one book per month that I really enjoy. So I will probably read a lot more per month, but it should give me a great "top 12" list at the end of the year!

Life has gotten in the way of my reading the past couple of years, so my goal is to get back into gear when it comes to finishing series that I start. So not a numerical goal, but still an important one for me.

I'd like to read a book--new or off of my shelf--once a week.

I plan on reading 100 books. I completed 75 last year so I am aiming high.

Hello. I'm starting low and only shooting for 25 since I have two toddlers to take care of but so far I'm already done with two books.

According to my New Year's Resolutions, I need to read at least twelve books this year, that means one per month. It's a reachable goal, isn't it?

I really like the idea of one book per month, so that I don't have to feel rushed. If I happen to finish a book faster than planned, and do 2 books in a month, then that's a bonus!

The purpose of any reading challenge shouldn't be to simply increase the volume of books read, but to find pleasure in discovering new books by different authors. It's also good to try reading genres than we typically would read.

I totally agree. I like to choose very demanding topics, so it takes a while to think about what I have just read.
Good luck!

I have a hard time with this because honestly, I have so many hobbies I don't read for the sake of reading, I read because a book seems interesting! I would like to get up to 50 books though!

I am new to this site. And after reading several of the other posts, I believe I agree with Kattee. I am going to low-ball my number to 24. I, too, am a reader who doesn't want to miss one word. :techie-reference:

My goal this year is 30 books. Taking into account all my obligations, this is me trying to be realistic this year.
