Ok so I'm just wondering. Since I couldn't find a topic about this book. I read a couple pages and it doesn't have a very good hook. Granted I only read a couple pages but for what I read it kinda was a hard read. But I just wanted to see what anybody else has to say about it I saw the movie and it was awesome I loved the movie. I'm just wondering if its as good as the movie

IMO it's a superb book (I haven't seen the movie) but you have to remember it's satire, of which Jonathan Swift was a master, & also when it was written, early 1700's, when Britain was going forth to conquer the world & bring 'civilization' to other peoples ... Swift questions the value of this civilization. It's worth reading his description of lawyers if for nothing else ... little has changed.
Hope you continue to read the good Dean & Enjoy. :D
