New!

Post by Mama Ash »

I am new to the club and looking for some good reads! I normally like to read romantic novels but I am open to any book. I like books that grab me within the first chapter and keep me flipping pages. I love how you get to picture the book as you're reading like you're watching a movie while reading. Can anyone recommend a good book any genre or author would be great? Thanks.

I'm not sure what to suggest :eusa-think:

As a stab in the dark, I'll suggest something I read this year, that has really stuck with me: The Chess Garden by Brooks Hansen :tiphat:

Though if you like paranormal romance (and haven't already read it) then Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series is awesome! :D

Definitely Black by Ted Dekker! I felt that very way from the first page onward. 8)

Somerset Maugham. I absolutely love his books, I can always visualize everything so clearly! Some people have told me they find him boring BECAUSE of this, but I think it's what I love so much about his books. Particularly his short stories in India and South Asia.

Any of Nora Roberts' romance novels would fit the bill.

I don't have any good suggestions for you right now but am pretty much in the same position so thought I would check out some of the other recommendations for ideas on what I should read.
