I agree - in my reading, the main character definitely comes across as an "Everyman" of sorts - there are thousands of Kevins among us.

I'm not sure if this is a book I'd look further into because sometimes books that too closely mirror reality can be dull. Nice review, though, and congrats on BOTD.

Seems like a very relatable story, without miracles or heroes saving the main character from his dreads. Thanks for your review!

Although, this may be true to life, it sounds like it lacks personal growth. Something I always look for in a book. You did a great job on the review.

Great review! I don't think this book is for me, but I like how down to Earth the book is.

This sounds like a very interesting book. It's nice to have a book that real people can relate to instead of constantly reading fictitious stories where everything goes according to plan. I'm excited to read the whole story!

This definitely sounds like a very relatable book. I also really like the fact there is no deus ex machina that just magically allows Kevin to achieve his dreams as in real life that just doesn't happen. Great review!
