Thanks for the review. You make this sound like such a great book! I am very intrigued about whether and how Julia gets her revenge! This is not the genre I normally read, as I normally read romance, but it sounds like this is something I will put on my TBR list!!!

In the beginning of the book I had myself questioning if I should continue or not, and yet, somehow, I found myself not even on the fifth paragraph absorbed into the life of Julia. Everything about her is so real, like I could reach in and become her friend. Her inability to stand on her own has made her endearing and not a damsel in distress. So many woman and young girls go through self-esteem issues be them small or large and like me I'm sure many others can find a way to connect with Helen and hopefully transform to a Julia.

Julia's past is so troubled. To make revenge as the sole purpose of one's existence is quite saddening. Congratulations on a great review!

I read a sample of the book and just from that I felt as though I was thrown into the middle of the book. Therefore filled with quite a bit of confusion and hadn't planned to read the whole book. But now having a more informed summary of the book and seeing the emphasis on corresponding historical references I'm much more interested.

Even though the story is based on Roman history, Julia`s backstory (abused and mistreated by her parents and loved one) still happens today, to thousand of women worldwide. I thought that would be something worth pointing out.

Great review! I am not big on these types of books (specifically revolving around rape and domestic abuse), however, your review did a fantastic job pulling me in. I may have to give it a shot. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

I was intrigued by this book, and immediately read the sample. I bought it. I love books set during the Roman Empire. I can't wait to read it and get to the reincarnation part. Another subject that completely fascinates me. I believe I will be as entranced with this book as you were. Great review!

Thanks for the enticing review. In a little sense, I can identify with Julia's low self-esteem. The review aroused my interest in reading the book to the end. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

I guess the best part of this book is that there are so many interesting characters. It would be interesting to read how Julia is able to cope with the insecurities planted in her head. Great review!
